The Argentina National Football Team represents the nation of Argentina and is controlled by the Argentine Football Association (AFA).The team’s nickname is Albicelestes (white and sky blue) due to the color of their uniforms. In 1994, during the World Cup, a scandal broke out, which had a negative effect on Argentina, and expelled Maradona from the team, after he did not pass the drug test for steroids. The Argentinean National Football Team is currently number 1 in the FIFA world ranking. Superstar soccer players such as Lionel Messi, Javier Zanetti and Julio Ricardo Cruz are present members of the Argentinean National Soccer Team.
