A hat-trick from striker Given Singulama powered Zambia to a shocking 3-0 win over hosts Cote dIvoire in the opening match of the maiden edition of the Africa Nation Championship .
Singulama scrored the first goal on 35th minute ,and the first half ended by this result. After 4 minutes into the second half again Singulama made it two before completing the hat-trik ten minutes from time .The result was a shocker to the home crowd who had filled every corner of the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan to cheer their team to victory. After the match Georges Kouadis Cote dIvoire coach said to the press"The Zambians took us by surprise and they held on that throughout the game. There is no doubt they were the best team and they deserved the win.Nothing is lost, but we have to win our remaining games to remain on course". Herve Renard the Zambian coach said"The Ivoirian team was nervous with the huge crowed and we capitalized on that. The expectations were too much and they simply could not live by it .We played our normal game and we got the result. This is a good start and we are on course for the final".
The second match between Sensgal and Tanzania ended 1-0 for Senegal , Mamadou Traore scored the only goal on 28th minute.

I watched the match live in Abidjan here, though Ivoirian has this problem of thinking they are the best when they are nowhere near the best.

I think that Ivoirians can recover in the second match and they will be qualified to 1/2 final.
