Eddie Johnson

Saturday, 30 June 07, 09:29 PM

I know that Eddie Johnson is fast, and he has been a scoring machine in the MLS...But, one play against Argentina stays with me.  It seemed that he had one defender to beat and he pulled up and waited for help.  Is he just too timid?  Does he get intimidated in international competitions?  Or does he just not have any offensive moves to beat the defenders?  Some one tell me what you think.

What will it take for the USA to successfully compete in football with the rest of the world

Saturday, 30 June 07, 04:45 PM

I'd like to hear what others think...both Americans and people from around the world.  Before you use this as a forum to bash the US and its team, I in no way think that the US is there yet or will win the Copa America.  I also realize that we are in a pretty weak confederation.  That being said, what can we do to make MLS better, besides pay better, and get the MNT to a level where they can compete.  Our women already dominate, how can we get the men to do the same, or will we ever get there.
