Roma 2001 beat France 1998 5 - 3

Candela played his farewell game on Friday with the two teams he most loved and won the best with. He won the world cup with France and won the Italian Serie A with Roma. The game was full of emotions and lots of goals, Totti entered the Stadium on a four-horsed carriage like the Roman kings and the teams featured great players such as: Delvecchio, Candela, Totti, De Rossi, Di Francesco, Montella, Zidane, Dugary, Dacourt, Djorkaeff, Balbo, Nakata, Guily, Sabri, Amelia, Tomassi, Aldair, De Champs, Lama...

the goals were scored by Marco Delveccio in the second minute after a good cross for Montella that he headed for the goal. Zidane played in the third minute a lob cross that saw Djorkaeff 1-on-1 with the goalie and he scored the equaliser. Roma went back in the 12th minute and Totti with a wondeful assist got the ball onto Di Francesco's foot and he did score. Dugary made it 2-2 at the 33rd minute after he ran all the way from 40 yards and ended up shooting the ball from close range at the far low corner. france took the lead in the second half after a good shot from Sabri who made it hard for Amelia to jump and catch. candela was destined to score after a good run from Montella that saw the keeper save the ball but it fell on Candela's foot and he gave Roma the draw. Balbo played a good pass for Montella who was alone and ran fast that he skipped past the keeper easily and when he reached the goal, he started walking before flicking the ball into the goal. Tomassi gave the Roma the game after a good chip played from the left into the right corner of the goal.

What a game for Italy, did you see this sucky squad that turned out to be good players?

I am starting to hate Lippi for doing that to Brighi after all his hard work and they played a lousy team what would you have expected

Mascara was sucky, I hate the fact that the coach puts cassano out for the sake of such a bit**
