The photograph looks photo-shopped, looks at Fabregas's head. I may be wrong. In any case, the new kit is definitely going to be something along that line, which I think is a another pathetic corporate rip-off. Using Chapman's name to launch this kit is a disgrace - arsenal have and will always be associated with red and white and this will makes who ever - 'lost' enough to buy it, look like the yid army. The shorts here look like the red-currant from the 05/06 home shirt, which makes it a little better.

continued - However, I seriously wonder whether or not Chapman, had he been alive, would approve of this, in the name of innovation and history. Bollocks ! If keen on making something classy and especially historical, wont it make sense to stick to your traditional colours, which in this case for an away shirt would be yellow or blue ? Personally, I couldn't care what this kit looks like as I don't plan to buy it but what I feel wrong about it 'using' the great Herbert Chapman's name to market it

Have they confirmed whether this is the away shirt or the third kit?

It's not going to be a fat lot of good anyways, because it will clash with many more opposition kits than our yellow one. Just a marketing stunt to bring in some cash that is probably not going to fly, but might just take off with some of the more worldwide Arsenal fans, although I imagine many of these will be buying knockoffs from Malaysia, China and elsewhere.

No its not confirmed its the kit because am sure its going to be on the same lines. Its definitely a clever photoshop upon close inspection. Titi does not wear those white Nike mercurial or whatever boots no more, seen as he's signed with Reebok, I'm sure he wont breach his contract for fun.

Why don't Arsenal.com just release a picture of it before asking people to pre-order ? Whats the point of pre-ordering when you don't know what it looks like ! Clever. Hmmm

Personally I don't like it. White is too boring, generic and lacking in passion. As mentioned earlier it clashes with a lot of other shirts. What are we now Spurs ? It's even worse than the horrid blue and black chequred away strip we had in the mid nineties.

I'm with Arjun, it's like Manchester United turning out in Sky Blue, or Rangers having a green and white hooped away kit.
Tottenham = white
Arsenal = Red with white sleeves

Its as boring as the London 2012 logo is garish. ARSENAL DO NOT PLAY IN WHITE. I agree with the comment about all the Herbert Chapman stuff on the website- this isn't progress, we're going backwards to last years silly redcurrent thing which was a silly gimmic.

However I must agree with forza. The socks are very cool.

i like the design a lot, i'll definitely buy that one

just wondering, does cesc and thierry's presence at the launch mean they'll still be at aresnal next season? I've heard from a fairly reliable source at the club that Thierry's for bindipper land and cesc's off to Madrid, i hope not, but as i say, my source is reliable (knew bout viera's departure)

Henry's of to Merseyside, having done a medical and a visit to Melwood. Malouda and Henry both have the same agent and the agent has been seen together with a real estate manager.

That pic is photoshopped ;)

i could live with Thiery going as long as eto'o replaced him but we'd need sectioned if we let Cesc go never mind any replacement

I'll take your word mate, didn't want to believe the rumours anyhow

Yeah Titi is going to Liverpool right ... why don't you also tell us that Cisse is coming to Arsenal ? Ground-breaking deal it will be wont it ? Just like he was at Melwood, the same way Eto was at Welwyn Garden QE II, in fact it was my nan who spotted him.

William Hill have slashed ther odds from 10/1 to 3/1 on henry coming to liverpool.

Some bookmakers in the liverpool area wont even take anymore bets on henry moving to liverpool.
Read into that what you will.

we'll c wnt we, in due course.
apparently he was at melwood yestaday, & thers an estate agent who reckons henry is looking at properties in liverpool/southport area.
No smoke & all that.
Im not sayin we will sign him, but if roumours r true then.........

Pure speculation. We all love it. Scousers, Gooners for that matter anyone have nothing better to do, but speculate. It's what we can do when there's no football.

goal.com folks are not the brightest to be honest, beside, betting agencies reducing odds is no way to understand transfers, its what they do to make money !

Just to clarify, the scousers feel that Henry may leave Arsenal to go to Liverpool. The only question I would have is why? Why would Henry go to Liverpool. It's completely ridiculous. Firstly, Henry has stated that he's irritated at how behind Man U Arsenal eneded last season. I believe Liverpool were on the same amount of points. we played each other 3 times last season and even thoiugh our team was decimated by injury, we still spanked you 3 out of 4 times. Further more, you have to ask yourself, why would anyone want to live near Liverpool? Have you seen what Henry drives? His hubcaps will get nicked in transit, they won't even wait for him to park.

Seriously, I think he may go but if he does it will be to a club like Barca or Milan, never another club in the prem.

Why ? Because he has expressed his admiration of Gerrard, Anfield and the club atmosphere in general. David Dein's exit
makes it likely for Wenger to leave, which opens up for Henry to move.

NeverOutGunned Wrote: | 15.54UTC | Jun 7, 2007

Expressing admiration is far from wanting to sign. Wenger, if he leaves, will only be after this season, he has said he will see out his present contract and then hold talks with the board.
David Dein will be back when the Uncle Kranky takes over next season, P-Diddy Hill to the Wood is now interested to see what he's got to say.

if it was such a foregone conclusion then how come the price is 3/1 and not evens or worse?

cause then you lot wouldn't back it, 3/1 gives yous interest, gullible fools

bookies in mouseville stopped taken bets cause they're sick and tired of robbing yous, made enough out of liverpool fans when milan tanked yous

Dream on brother...

the only reason that the bookmakers stopped taking bets on henry joining liverpool, is purely because of the number of people that called and started placing bets, not because of any inside info. it's common practise to do that when something has become that popular because they run the risk of making losses otherwise.

they said that the majority of the callers were from liverpool, so it's not shocking or anything is it?

it's only bookmakers in liverpool who've closed the book though due to the amount of bets being placed around merseyside, i've seen a couple of online sites that are running it as a special due to the interest

it's a internet based rumour, probably a few evertonians having a giggle round bootle tonight, theres been so many sightings of him up there yet no one took a photograph, strange....

He dint play for France since he is "resting" and not yet ready. Sticking to your same logic - didn't he miss the majority of the season for Arsenal because he wanted to "save the good stuff" of Liverpool ?
I don't want to make it over-complicated because it's a waste of time. To rest my case - Its Bull$hit. Sorry.

Jordy, anyone that uses the term, "da" cannot be taken seriously. My cousin's, uncles's, sister's pet dog swears that he saw Steven Gerrard climb out of a black Chrysler at the Emirates Stadium this morning. I got the info at 02:00 this morning and went to the bookies but they weren't taking bets on it. Coincidence?

Did I say that I didn't understand text language. You seem to have the misguided assumption that I, like you, failed to go to school. I understand it, I just don't use it as I don't feel that typing the extra two or three characters needed to complete the word is going to kill me. Perhaps if you spent more time reading instead of "txting" rubbish rumours to the rest of the hubcap gang, you may also learn to type like an adult someday.

P.S. You forgot the word "innit" NeverOutGunned. You've got to have an "innit" or two in there. You're giving your game away. You'll just never be as urban as the likes of the "Duh Brothers", sorry "DA Brothers". Better stick to working and things we're accustomed to.
