What can I say, working on the game today it had Sunderland getting at least a point written all over it.
oh look, huff and pufff first half, Ade and VP not passing, shooting at least 20 foot over the bar, in the meantime the defence getting stretched... lots of containment by the opposition.. blah blah..
2nd half... arsenal revive for 15 mins... blah .. no cutting edge.. walk ball in.. blah blah blah..... yes ball wasnt over the line but cant blame the lino for that one can you really... blah blah..
OOh look Sunderland getting more of the ball as Arsenal try force the issue... oooh aahhh, defence looking ragged, yawwwwn...
oh what a surprise, Sunderland score through some inept midfield play by these great midfield players we supposedly have.. shock... no really...
blah blah.. Cesc.. header wow shock... yawn..
game over.. AW.. tough game, 10 men behind ball blah blah.. should have been a goal...blah de blah blah.... incredible goal by them.. cesc is great .etc etc.
This game is a replica of most of the games we've struggled at in the last 4 years. Same shit.
Fed up with the excuses by AW, fuck he's been great but no edge anymore, yes the title has gone but lets be honest, it was never there anyway.
Easiest part of the season on paper too. I am F**KING P**SED off with this same old shit. ...but those youngsters eh Arsene... next year just watch.. yeah right, if we still have them.
Bullshit, just bullshit.
Spot on mate. You can't be too hard on AW for what he's done and you'd rather be supporting Arsenal than a Chelski derivative or man u but when it just gets so predictable it just stops being fun. Paying money for someone doesn't mean a risk of losing money, it can be thought of cutting down those risks surely?
Fans are going to turn a bit on Wenger IMO (not in any overtly bad way) and it will be interesting to see what happens.
It might be better if AW does not start praising his players to the moon after just one win. Each time he does that it only raises expectations unfairly.
Yes, another great point. They are just so wrapped in cotton wool.
Wenger: 'Is it a good point or a bad point? I don't know' ...
Let me give you a hand on that one Arsene... it wasn't quite as shite as the Hull or Fulham one was it... but because of those it is now a bad point isnt it?

Normally in a season it takes to about five games from the end before i start feeling complete apathy to results. It's when I know we've thrown the season away, and rather than face the usual pain, I close up. Well i'm doing it now. Having seen the result, i'm ignoring it. I've given myself a lot of stick for being so pessimistic and negative this (still young) season, even my girlfriend is criticising me because before nearly every game i'm saying "i've got a bad feeling about this one!" But again today i have been proved right! We're not functioning properly and i'm sharing your pain mate. Maybe not as acutely, because i'm switching off like i said. But i'm starting to be a little pissed off with AW also. I think it's time he explained things a bit.
I mean, if he didn't think the team needed strengthening, then fair enough. We have been waiting for his "told you so" moment, which to be fair, always happens. But this season he's wrong. We did need the team improving, we had been saying this for 6 months, and he didn't. The money was there, and AW is wrong. I'll still support him, he's the best manager in the world and he's given us sooo much, but right now he needs to come out and admit that this poor start to the season is because the team simply isn't strong enough. Players like Denilson, Song, Eboue, Bendtner, Gallas are not good enough to be 1st team players week in, week out. They are excellent young backup players with potential, but not "here and now" capable of taking the team through the season. I'm afraid that Wenger needs to upset some of the young 'uns to protect the team as a whole, and we need to spend to save this season. If we get thumped 6-1 by United, as happened a few years ago, AW don't say we didn't see it coming.
