...but f*ck off Arsene before it's too late!

Youve been brilliant, absolutely outstanding but its far too obvious that you're either working too hard or run out of of ideas.

It is time to go, same excuses each week, we weree never in the title race.

It just seems so easy to jump on bandwagons and read the press, take in the subliminal messaging etc.

Anyway thought i'd leave the blog for a bit and wait a few games to be more considered.

So after watching the young'uns miss out on another semi i think a few things have stood out to most Gooners.

Bendtner is becoming a bit of an enigma. Somedays like the Kiev game he can chest a ball from a 50 yard pass, outsprint a defender and bury a tight finish with his wrong foot! Brilliant!
However it's more often than not like the Burnley game he reverted to having an awful first touch, the turning circle of a bus and the pace of a one legged tortoise! He has to score these 1 on
1's to get a look in. I wouldnt be surprised if AW gets rid of him if only he didnt have the hearing/height advantage.

There are probably fewer guys than originally thought ready for the first team however Gibbs, Vela Wilkshire, Fabianski and Ramsey are the few that i would feel comfortable with at this
      juncture.

What's with Mark Randall, such high hopes but he jsut seems to freeze in the CC games, hope the guy turns it round soon but one of the reasons we didnt do well in midfield.

Lastly i think this may not be a bad thing losing, shows the guys they need to fight more and can't always score 3.

What about the first team? Well best team performance of the season for me on Sunday. Didnt play great, no great individual performances but we stuk to the task and never gave up, 1 on target
shot being the Lampard header?!?! Brilliant really.

So a 3rd false dawn do you think?

Wigan Saturday, 0-0 at half time, 11 wigan players behind the ball.... Wigan get a breakaway goal.... clueless arsenal?

No idea but after previous expereinces with similar teams it would hardly be a surprise.

An early goal could do the team wonders.

      Anyway, have a good one!

Pathetic Wenger makes Arsenal laughing stock

Well completely dicked on by Man City, no surprise at all there.

No suprise the childish interview afterwards either. Maybe we should get Gordon Ramsey in to show AW what a pair of balls are?

How can the team have guts if the manager is being gutless! The board really need to clarify things.

Its the fans that make the club, and the money we should be entitled to explanations about our club Captain.

I know he watches the team very closely in training and knows their talent... maybe he should start watchign the other teams as they've got us all figured out now.

All far too easy and predictable!

I was working on the Chelski newcastle game today, that Newcastle midfiled showed more guts than our entire season.

Joe Kinnear anyone?. Nah me neither but its a thought...

we fucked up against Villa, no creativity, defence a shambles!

      So, so fucking predictable!

Kind of makes you think last week was a fluke, 1 loss every 4, cant wait to hear what AW says this time..

Tedious predictable crap and Bendtner is not an Arsenal player?

Anyone really still think Wenger has got it? At this rate one loss in 4 games means 10th not 4th.

Tactically he's never been great but he's had the players. Now he doens't have the players and managers liek o'Neill know EXACTLY what to do and it's fool proof against Arsenal, far too easy!

He deserved to get booed on this shit. The players need someone to get them motivated and it aint Wenger at the moment.

UPDATE: AW - "We're not consistant".

But we are consistant AW, consistantly the most predictable team to play against and consistantly frustrating the supporters. Experiment hasnt worked this year, can't win em all, lets go for
the champs league big time now then get that squad bullet proof in January.

its been intersting experiment as you said but if you cant work out a solution then get someone in that can.

Why can't all games be like that??

I take it as a personal triumph that if I wasnt there last Wednesday watching that debacle against Febernache that we wouldnt have been so good against Man u and Wigan! No? ok...

Those boys last night were amazing, yet to see them really get tested by going a goal or two down but wasnt it great to see a team who looked as though they were having a great time.

So many plus points too, in fact it was Djourou who didnt have the best of games and Randall looked as thogh his mind was somewhere else (AW didnt look too happy with how he was playing
towards the end) but you could seriously see all those players making it big.

Glad to see Gavin Hoyte playing well, he does look a bit more assured than his older brother and hopefully has that added confidence that i think his brother missed when playing with the more
experienced players. Gibbs had a great game too I thought. Safe hands if Gael gets an injury, very composed.

Ramsey was outstanding with "our" Jack, guarenteed first team shoe-ins in the next few years and with Carlos, wow, how good does he look he reminds me of a Raul or Emilio Butragueno type
player, completely at home with the ball and knows where the goal is instinctively, one of those "you cant teach that skill" type of player.

Good to see Fabianski make a stunning double save at the end too. Seemed a bit nervous but not half as "flappy" as Alan Parry made him out to be in my opinon.

Anyway, Villa next, still that nasty thought in the back of my mind that they'll bombard us with balls and we'll struggle in that hole again but hopefully we're on a bit of a roll now.

Until next time. have a great week.

Anyone read the Times?

Interesting article on the game Saturday with regards to Denilsons influence.... or lack of i guess.

Essentially the article was stating how the Arsenal back 4 was unprotected, especially with Rooneys early misses. It was something that Flamini would have covered and indeed Gilberto but again
no doubt this will be glossed over by AW.

I actually think Denilson has been better these last 2 games but there really is no cover for our defence and it's why i suspect that most gunners feel that Aston Villa could be reverting back
      to type.

Another point in Wenger, he said that in his position he has to accept criticism, and thats true. Does he truly believe however that fans have short memories of the last few years, the obvious
lack of strength and the the 3 losses against Hull, Stoke and Fulham, I mean come on AW. The guys that go EVERY week earn the right to assess the team and the manager and in the end, he
works for them and should take notice.

Anyway, proper team turns up on Tuesday, lets hope they can carry on with the business.

Will Bendtner play? I guess not with the lack of striking options, so Vela plus...... Maybe Jay Simpson/Rui.. surely not Eduardo?

Good chance to see if Bischoff is worth the gamble now that he's back from fitness.

      What do you think?

Arsenals team matching works out well this time.

3 points, a win against our oldest rivals and current champs. Not bad eh?

I seriously couldnt believe the result, even at the end, 6 minutes to play... aaagh tension!

One thing for sure, its our best result of the season under the circumstances, yes we still have that defensive problem and yes we still dont look strong but A for effort and AW's assurance of
      spirit.

Good to see Gallas behaving like a Captain too, especially in the break when Almunia got injured encouraging and focusing the players.

Some other observations, Clichy had Ronaldo in his back pocket most of the time which isnt easy and Nasri was showing some good strength and a little more guile. Could this be the game
where he realises he can do it in the prem now?

I thought Almunia was at fault for getting his own head hammered by Carricks knee by fluffing the cross but otherwise he did well. Fabianski looked very confident coming on again.

2 penalty claims, one for each side, so Fergie cant be too disgruntled which I think showed at the end.

Lastly nice to see Fergie acting genial at the end, thats a first?

Anyway, no doubt another random stuggle against Aston Villa next.

Well, that was predictable tosh!

After taking an age to get to the stadium last night, it seemed to take longer watching the match.

Pretty woeful and all fairly predictable.

Never have I seen an Arsenal team so lacking in speed, speed of thought and ideas.

      But some plus points.

Fenerbache were awful too so we didnt lose... er.. come on must be more.. oh yes, thought Fabianski in goal was solid bar one time he should have come out. Wasnt really tested however.

Djourou i thought was very solid in the tackle and heading, he HAS to be given some games now. The defence looked pretty stable altogether but not much attacking wise from the Turks.

Otherwise Cesc looked as though he felt he had to carry the whole team, Denilson was efficient and RVP was at least trying his best and getting to a position for opportunities.

It just looks as though the team needs more spark, maybe a new player, new personnel in staff but something to get them buzzing again.

Lots of possesion again but does tend to get tedious when nothing else happens in terms of penetration.

Have to admit I am terrified for Saturday!

Depends whether its man u hacking Gary (Did you know his dad's Christian name is Neville?) Neville Scholes type team i guess, a free flowing game will be our best chance.

      Ratings:

Fabianski - 7 Stable but not much to do.

Toure - 6.5 Seemed to enjoy being out of the firing line in Centre a bit

Djourou - 8 one tackle near the byline in particular created one of the biggest roars of the night, mainly as he was tackling fair but hard. Wonder if AW heard that?

      Sylvestre - 7 Solid

Clichy - 6.5 Normal, not enough end product still but got to love him.

Ramsey 6.5 - Started well, faded in second half, subbed. Still potential

Nasri 6 - No pace and a bit lacking in ideas really, needs more movement in team to work his magic

Cesc 6.5 - Tried tried tried... but he's got no back up to help him out, looks exhausted already

Denilson - 6.5 Efficient, moves the ball nicely and won/intercepted a bit more too, needs to do more of that.

Van Persie 7 - Not been my favourite recently but he really tried to make something happen and get in there so fair play.

Bendtner 3 - Was he playing? Slow, took too long on the ball and made too man wrong decisions. Losing patience with this one slowly.

      Subs:

Diaby 5.5 Didnt really do much other than get stuck in corners. some nice touches but nothing penetrating.

Vela 5.5 Tried to add some spark and had a couple of opportunites to set people free but pass didnt happen. Biggest cheer of the night when he came on though.

Song 6.5 Usual, good control but slow however he's ok in games like these.

      Who would you play?

I would like to see Fabianski given a go, If Lehmann was left out after 2 dodgy games then Fab deserves his chance...plus he may even come out for a few crosses.

I'd like to see Djourou given a chance. Think Toure is really suffering next to Willi so as he is out, lets see what happens.

Theo and Ade are out I guess.

Great chance to see Vela playing with VP (if hes not banned from europe?), he's obviously not scared of shooting and we need that at the moment.

Anyway, I've got my tickets and looking forward to the match, wonder if AW will get a few boos?

Do you know what youre doing AW? I hope so.
