Are we the only ones?

Arsenal need experience. There is no way that everyone outside Arsenal feels this way but nothing is happening within the club. After the loss of Gilberto and Hleb we've lost so much expierence and Gilberto hasn't even been replaced. We have Nasri for Hleb but he's is his early twenty's and has not played one Premiership game, while even thought Hleb wasnt always as effective as he should be, he was almost always involved in a goal resulting attack.

Then I keep wondering why they arent buying anyone. Arsenal have money enough, there is no way that can be a problem if you look at the income of this huge club. We should simply add. Add. Add.                           Bischoff? Oh yeah that guy from the Werder Bremen reserves that will be injured for the next couple of months. We should just go for Xabi Alonso. He knows how the game works, and even though he is no Flamini or Gilberto, he has his own strengths that I think a team like Arsenal can use. Money can not be an issue with such a wealthy sponsor and the income that we have from home games and even merchindise. Liverpool are willing to sell, and I can imagine that he wants to play for us. It will be only good to give our midfielders some competition. Denilson still needs to prove himself while we can't rely on a 17-year old Ramsey.

And I have seen the game against FC Twente earlier, and after the match I hear Wenger speak about how young our team was, but in fact Twente has just as many young players on the pitch, so that can't be an excuse for our very weak performance. Ramsey was unable to cope with his opponent, so Denilson had to do too much midfield work. The Djourou-Gallas center did not work at all and again Gallas was NOT the captain this team needs. Adebayor and Van Persie did well, but they four defenders to cope with, plus another midfielder manmarking Van Persie. Ramsey joined the attack too late, so our strikers did well keeping 5, 6 players busy. So, our backs had their own direct oppenents, leaving Denilson, Ramsey, Walcott and even Gallas or Djourou to step forward but they all failed. If we would have had someone that would have told them to go forward, they would have been so much more effective.

There, again, comes in that expierenced midfielder we need so badly. Xabi Alonso is in my eyes the ideal player because he knows when to join attack and defence and knows how to coach his team mates. Another possibilty would be Gareth Barry, but he has his mind set on Liverpool and they can outbid us. We could also add another midfielder just for the depth of the squad. I think Joe Cole (it hurts me to write this) would be a great addition to our squad because he has so much creativity and he knows how the English game works. If we make a proper bid I think Chelsea might be willing to sell since they have Deco, Lampard, Essien, Ballack and Malouda. We could also use another expierenced force in our defence because Gallas is total crap. He can't be partnered with anyone, while Kolo and Senderos are a good duo. Djourou should be loaned out again and we should bring in the Vidic-kind of player.

But, since the lack of transfer activity the last year I expect no more signings from mister Wenger.
