Well thank fuck we have some real football again, today see's our mighty Arsenal face Birmingham city at the Emirates

Team News:

Almunia and Fabianski should return to the squad today, Walcott could start after coming through england's under 21 games unscathed, Eduardo and Bendtner are both out.

Predicted Line up:

Almunia

Sagna, Gallas, Vermaelen, Gibbs

Walcott, Van Persie, Arshavin

Bench: Fabianski, Senderos, Silvestre, Eboue, Diaby, Merida, Ramsey, Wilshere

Match Prediction:

I think once again there will be a fair few goals at the Emirates i'm going to go for a 5-0 win to the Arsenal with Robin van Persie (2) fabregas, Walcott and Vermaelen.

Hopefully Almunia has sorted himself out after being 'droppped' (in my humble opinion anyway) and can start to play like a number 1 Arsenal keeper, and also i hope Walcott can put in a good display and repay our continued faith in him.

Another great attacking display from our lovely Arsenal, a bit shaky in defense but nothing we can't put right, i think something for the manager to consider would be to remove song from the starting line-up and replace him with senderos who could play just in front of the defense and when Vermaelen or Gallas go forward he could drop back and cover them, or you could play senderos alongside gallas and put vermaelen in defensive midfield. Anyway the manager will probably keep Song in their but to be honest i think he is half the player without Denilson playing.

The win on sunday see's us pick up points on Man Utd and Man City who drew with sunderland and Aston Villa respectively also Liverpool lost so we are back in the thick of it with a game in hand. It was nice to see Walcott return with a goal, i think the new formation will benefit him as a player and i'm expecting a minimum of 25 goals this season (though i will be happy with 10) the other scorer's on sunday where; Vermaelen, Van Persie, Arshavin, Fabregas and Bendtner.

Also our 'off-form' captain: cesc Fabregas put in his best display of the season withj a goal and four assists so hopefully he can step his game up next time and score 5 and assist 5 haha, Sadly we now go into a two week international break so we have no real football to look forward to which is shit, hopefully we can come through this one with no injuries and keep the momentum going.

Sol Campbell has decided to train with the gunners to keep his fitness up until he can sign for a new team in january after leaving notts county after one game. I can't help but think he will be trying to get Wenger to sign him but i can't see it happening, we already have defender's who can't buy a game at the moment so it would be pointless.

Finally Theo Walcott has been drafted into the under 21's squad to replace Lee Catermole apparently Pearce and Wenger agreed between them that it would be good for Walcott to join up, but i think it's got injury written all over it.

Vieira + Kroenke + Arsenal vs Blackburn Preview + more

I'll start off with a rumour which has been gathering pace in the last few weeks; a certain Mr Vieira is apparantly set to sign for Arsenal in January after passing a medical and agreeing terms in the summer there was a problem with the money getting to Inter so the deal will now be done in january. Wether or not this is true remains to be seen but i wouldn't complain if it was.

Samir Nasri and Lukasz Fabianski are set to return after the international break Arsene Wenger said; "Nasri and Fabianski are very close to a return, I think after the international break,''

"We will see then, they will join training just before the break. Physically they will be short but once they join the group after the international break they will be fine."

Stan Kroenke has upped his stake in the football club again which is very interesting for me because if he buys 1.2% more shares he has to make an offer for the club, so i'm sure we'll hear more over the next few months.

Back to matters On the pitch and we beat Olympiacios 2-0 on tuesday night in the most one-sided game i have ever witnessed some of the football was incredible but i think we need to work on our finishing. Van Persie and Arshavin (the cheekiest back heel your likely to see) with the goals.

Arsenal Vs Blackburn

This is another of the 'easy' run we have until we face chelsea in november, i think it's a winnable game but it won't be as easy as people think though if we sort our finishing out and play like we did on tuesday, we colud be in for a cricket score.

Eduardo is out with a knee injury but Theo Walcott could play for the first time this season and Bendtner returns after his car accident. Almunia still has his 'chest infection' as far as i know.

Arsenal vs Olympiacos + more injury's

Tommorow night see's the second fixture in our champions league group take place; Olympiacos at home: i would think this game is winnable but we need to ake sure we don't turn up with the silly attitude that we are Arsenal we deserve the 3 points which to be fair hasn't surfaced so far this season and the display at fulham was the first step in showing that we no longer have that metality.

Injury News

Nicklas Bendtner will not take part tommorow as he has had a minor car crash, nothing serious just some bruising and he will be back for the blackburn game.

Eduardo will be back for the Olympiacos game though no-one actually knows what was wrong with him at the weekend.

On a more sour note Nevez Denilson will be out for a minimum of two months as it has now been confirmed that he has a small fracture in his back.

Almunia, Lukasz Fabianski and Samir Nasri should all be back at some point next month and Theo Walcott will return for the Blackburn game as he 'is short on match fitness' according to le boss.

I know i mentioned above that the players shouldn't have the metality that they deserve to win but i'm a fan and i'm alowed and i feel that we do deserve to win so i'm going for another 4-0 win for the Arsenal this week with Van Persie, Eduardo, Arshavin and Rosicky all grabbing a goal each.

Hopefully we'll be seeing a lot more of Rosicky from now on, wether he has been out injured for a long time or not he's still a top, top class player.

Fulham 0-1 Arsenal

Yes my match prediction was way off target but the points are what matters at the end of the day. If you had asked me in the morning before the match if i would have taken a 1-0 win i would have said yes so i can't complain. To be honest it's the sort of performance we have been missing in the last couple of season's; we didn't perform but dug in and got the points.

Robin Van Persie's 53 minute goal from a delightful assist from Fabregas was all that seperated the two sides, well that and 'mr invincible' Vito Mannone, what a game he had, personally i feel much happier with the young italian in net than Almunia and with two cleen sheets under his belt this season against Almunias eight goals conceded in four league games i think Mannone should be given the oportunity to keep the number 1 position, for the time being atleast.

Also there were no new injury's ahead of the olympiacos game on tuesday so i'll be backtommorow with more ahead of the game.

p.s i'm hoping good old wolciech szchezny (hope the spellings correct because i didn't paste it this time) can be the number 2 goalkeeper haha. Back tommorow.

Fulham vs Arsenal Preview +WE Draw Liverpool in the Carling Cup

Well to start off with a hard earned victory against 10-man West Brom in the carling cup last tuesday (2-0 with goals from Sanchez Watt, and Carlos Vela) has earned us a home tie against liverpool in the last sixteen of the Carling Cup, it will be a tough decision for Wenger, wether or not to go with youth or add some experience, i expect he will probably use a mixture of both because Rafa Benitez won't want to be humiliated as he was last time, ooo the memories still make me laugh now.

Anyway onto today's game away at fulham, the manager says we won't be spending in january, probably not what you want to hear but what can we do? He said on arsenal.com;

"We sold Kolo and Adebayor but bought Vermaelen.

"That money is for me. I know how much I have and I am happy with it.

"But last week we played Wigan. We won 4-0 and on the bench I had (Nicklas) Bendtner. (Theo) Walcott, (Andrey) Arshavin, (Samir) Nasri, Denilson and (Johan) Djourou were not playing.

"Do we have the squad to compete with the other (Big) four? I say yes. We have an unbelievable squad. Where do you put all the talented players?

Arshavin returns from injury and so do Walcott and Vela, I think Arshavin will start with Walcott and Vela both taking a place on the bench. Also Wenger was in two minds of which keeper to choose after the midweek performance of 19 year old Wojciech Szczesny, so here's my predicted line-up;

Arsenal 4-0 Wigan

Once again sorry for the lateness of the post but it should be back to normal next week, as i write the youngsters are drawing 0-0 with west brom in the carling cup, senderos and silvestre being the only senior players in the team so hopefully we'll win that one.

Anyay our second game of the season at the Emirates ended 4-0 which means we now have scored 8 in two matches at home and conceded only one. The goals came from all over the park again on saturday with Vermaelen heading in from a corner in the first half, then early in the second half, he scored an absolute beauty from the edge of the oppositin area to make it 2-0, Van Persie wasted a whole host of chances he really should have had atleast a hat-trick himself, it then went to 3-0 when the impressive Eboue deflected Eduardo's effort into the net. There was a small scare when a good save from Mannone was turned in by an offside Scharner but the flag was up before it hit the net. Rhen to round off the game a tired looking Cesc Fabregas converted Bendtner's cross in the dying moments of the game.

A good result, 4 goals and a clean sheet (first in the league this season for us) and with players like Arshavin and Nasri to return we can only get stronger. There's been a lot of talk the last few weeks about us not being strong enough in the defensive midfield position while Denilson is injured but both Senderos and Djourou can play that position so hopefully the boss will try one of those two if needs be. We've got a good run of games for the next few weeks so lets keep our heads up and hope that this time at christmas we're up their in the thick of an enthralling title race.

First of all sorry about the lack of posts the last couple of weeks, a lad at work has had a baby so i'm covering his shifts but it should return to normal in the next couple of weeks. A lot's been said about the standard liege game midweek but all i will say is; if we play like that all seaswon but win the league i'll be happy, it was three points at the end of the day and i would rather get three scrappy points than boss manchester united for 90 minutes and lose.

Personally i would have like to see clichy dropped for Gibbs after the shocking start to the season that he's had but with Almunia already having been dropped i guess it's better not to take another risk.

Let's face it anything less than a win today and our season is pretty much over before it has begun, after spitting my dummy out last week i've calmed down a bit and a few good results and we'll all be happy again, so the positive me is back and i'm going to go for a 5-0 win (yes i'm predicting our first clean sheet in the league) a hat-trick for RVP, Rosicky and another goal for 'Holy Diver' Eduardo.

Come on Arsenal Give us something to be proud of.

My Worst Fears Come To Life.

Well coming back from scotland after two weeks and after the dissapointing result at Old Trafford which by the way was fucking bullshit, i was really looking forward to puting the shiter half of manchester in their place today and what do we4 do we fucking roll over like a soft dog and let them walk all over us. We are better than Manchester City (or certainly should be) and anything less than a win is not good enough.

Now i like to think i'm one of the more positive Arsenal Blogger's arounf but today i'm breaking the mould i'm sick of being fed bullshit excuses about 'youngsters' 'transision' and 'experience' it's about time our players woke the fuck up, pulled themselves together and won us some fucking trophies.

After the Man Utd game i was dissapointed and felt hard done by, we should have taken the points, and a few cruel twists of fate swung it their way, not much we could have done to avoid it, we played well pressing them all up the pitch not giving them a second on the ball and won all the 50-50 battles, today we didn't press and didn't win the 50-50s we need to get a fucking grip. On a positive note atleast Rosicky made his comeback and grabbed a consolation.

What a fucking little cunt, the guy is a twat and how the fuck he left that stadium alive i don't know, if i'd have been there he wouldn't have that's for certain. So all the news today is about our 'cheat' Eduardo, now i did say i wasn't going to comment on the penalty decision or the dive but after reading arseblog this morning i've found myself strangely pumped up about the situation. Basically it's a big joke, yes he dived so what? How many times have player's dived before this? Loads and when has anything been done about it? Never. Why now? Because the scottish people as a whole don't want to feel inadequate to the English, this game was made out to be something which it wasn't a 'battle of britain' and sore loosers will be sore loosers. Anyway Eduardo has been charged with 'intent to deceive the referee' Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger was fuming, he told Sky Sports News.;

"I find it a complete disgrace and not acceptable,"

"We will not accept the way Uefa treated this case. Having seen the television again nothing is conclusive from that and it singles out a player in Europe to be a cheat and that is not acceptable.

"I have seen some obvious cases where Uefa didn't intervene and that is on and off the pitch. Things have happened in Europe on and off the pitch where Fifa did not act at all.

"I believe that this is the first time in my time in football where a situation that has been judged and assessed by the referee and that the referee's decision is not accepted by the football bodies.

"So that means we have opened a door that means that every single decision that is seen by a referee can be changed. They have opened a very dangerous door there."

We got a pretty good draw on thursday we avoided all of the teams that you wouldn't really want to face. Not a lot more i can say about it but i expect it will be a bit harder than it looks.

Today at 5.15 is the biggest game of our season so far, two heavy-weights of english football going head to head at old trafford, we are already in a better position than United they've played 3-6 points, we've played 2-6 points and if we can win tonight we could open up a six point gap if we win our game in hand.
