Martin Laursen - Out For Longer Than Planned. Petrov Villa Captain.

Another set back for then return of the Villa Skipper Laursen. After training in Dubai he pushed him self to hard and it look like hes going to be out for even longer than planned as he has had a reaction in his Knee again.

The x AC Milan player was hopeing to be back for the Man U game but this is looking doubtful as he is still having trouble with the injurie he picked up.

Mon has completely ruled out any return for the next 3 weeks as there is no way of getting Laursen fully fit. These things just cant be rushed.

Laursen himself said;

"I had a problem with my knee on the second day of training out in Dubai and it was a real blow after my recovery seemed to be coming along so well.

"It's been so frustrating because I am desperate to play again, but I've realised that you can't rush back from injuries like this.

"I think I possibly tried to do too much so it will be a case of taking things more slowly this time."

Alothough many people are saying with out Laursen Villa are done, I dont think this is true yes Laursen is a top Captain and one of the best CD in the EPL but while he is out the team must continue the run for 4th stop.

Laursen also insisted that Villa will get out this slump and get back on track and push for 4th spot again.

He added:

"We have to get back to winning form and we can't afford too many slip-ups in the battle for fourth place.

"Arsenal have been playing well in the past few weeks but everyone is determined to try and bring Champions League football to the club."

Is Laursens season over?

If so i think Petrov should be Vilal Skipper as he is the best player we have!

In a few posts back i said Barry was to quiet and unable to get the team playing. Putting Petrov as Skipper would get Villa back on Track.
