When Liverpool came knocking for Gareth Barry in the summer, it was easy for Martin O'Neill to say no, and put a stupid price tag on the payers head.

Liverpool, while a big club and historically very proud are not Manchester United, Real Madrid or Barcelona. If one of those clubs had come in for Barry, maybe the summer would have been different.

Was that you just asking 'Kyle Who'? Well, he might not be Kyle Who for much longer if he comes to us and that is the rumour getting spread by the Mirror this morning.

Now, those with a solid memory, much like me, will know that this isn't the first time we've heard this name. Back, back he says, in November you found his name linked to us in the News of the World.

We're doing this backward today, mostly because I want to start with Harewood as he's one of ours and he deserves to come first. Also, if you picked players based on effort and heart alone, this man would be second on the team sheet every week, after Milner.

I'm not sure I've ever used the word swoop on this site before but if it's true, you've got to fancy Martin O'Neill will accept it. The thing is, it's a huge 'if' and it's quite possibly a load of cobblers.

Cobblers I say because I've just read it on TeamTalk and they say it's from The People. If you wanted more chance of bullshit then you've only got to look at The Mirror or one of their group newspapers.

You know I love my rumours and these two, while probably pretty high on the bullshit factor are two I'd like to see happen, especially the Antonio Valencia one.

We all know Martin O'Neill likes his wingers and his big man up front and we all know he has a relationship with Emile Heskey, so the ongoing speculation is quite possibly not without some credibility.
