FIFA have voted in favour of bringing in President Sepp Blatter's rule that would limit the number of foreign players in a team to five. Say what you like about Blatter but this is the right thing to do.
It also has to happen in my opinion for the sake of the game, however some jobsworth at the European Commission will try and stop it.

FIFA top dog Sepp Blatter has as good as said today that the 39th game isn't going to happen and that FIFA will intervene if the Premier League try and force it through - great news for all of us that didn't want this to happen, but not for Richard Scudamore.
Now, FIFA might be stepping out of line saying they'll stop it and some might even say how can they, after all they're just a governing body but FIFA are expressing a view and FIFA are very powerful.

I like a good petition and when I looked at this one only a couple of hours ago it had 119 names - it now has over 1,000 and deserves a lot more.
Basically, it's saying don't ruin our game. The important word in that phrase is 'our' because it is ours and while they can get away with most it appears most don't want our teams playing all over the World.

I'm having a mini meltdown at the moment. It all started this morning when I read that Derby has sacked Billy Davies, then Sepp Blatter, of all people started talking sense, the game really has gone mad.
At the beginning of September we all knew Derby would be relegated. Hell, some of us already had money on them going down, but surely this hasn't come as a surprise to the Derby board?
