I don't think there is much more I can say that I didn't say after the match or actually during it yesterday, so I'll keep this brief today and concentrate on new things.

Who do you blame for this? Martin O'Neill is blaming the players, saying they were over confident but ultimately he is responsible for the players. He said "At 2-0 we should see it through. I think top four sides would see it through. I hope it's been a lesson."

There are still quite a few annoyed people judging by some of the comments made after the match last night and I'm not actually surprised, although I must say I've calmed down a bit, mostly because there is nothing we can do about it and I am very much part of the generation that either accepts it or does something about it and in this case there is nothing to do, although O'Neill will be getting a letter.

Someone commented on it yesterday and I'm not going to dig it out word for word but apparently Paul Merson said that when the top four were at their best they'd beat us every time.

I think I would be more worried going to Moscow next week had we won 2-0 or drew 0-0 and I think Martin O'Neill will maybe be happy with this result too, certainly after the second half display, as he'll have an easy job of getting the lads up for this and it's pretty clear what we need to do.
