At least we'll have Young back for the replay at Villa Park on February 4th, but if we play like we did yesterday against Pompey and Wigan, we're going to have to be practising taking chances in training, because we didn't create that many and when we did, we didn't take advantage.

What can you say about yesterday that the papers are not? Not much actually and when you factor in we were one down, reduced to ten men for the last twenty minutes and playing away from home, some might say we stole it yesterday.

Straight into it this morning as the wife has me leaving the house in thirty minutes and I've tried every excuse possible - none of them are working.

Bottom line, the performance wasn't the best and while nobody can say it was the wrong result I'm using the 'we had another gear if we wanted it line' today, because while some have faith in James Milner, I have faith in that.

It wasn't the most convincing of performances and while you have to factor in that it was the FA Cup and it was their game of the season, I put it down to a simple error; change of formation.

I like looking at numbers and things that are black and white, sometimes because after all the debate it's the only thing we've got in football that is certain but mostly because after performances like last night, it's nice to have the league position to fall back on.
