Aston Villa lost to inconsistent Middlesbrough in a game where Villa's only spell of dominance was stopped by themselves.

From the opening stages Villa were poor and were under the backfoot. So by the time Yakabu opened the scoring on 33 minutes it was a good reward for their hard work.

Villa opened the second half quite lively, and Luke Moore grabbed an equaliser after only five minutes of the restart.

Villa drop points again: Going for a beer

I'm not writing a match report now. Instead I'm going for a beer. What I will tell you though is on 62 minutes I wrote the following in my notebook:

'We might not have lost at Villa Park this season but it's only a matter of time - we've had a lot of luck and we've not played 'winning football'.'
