Let's get a few things straight from the off. We can't start complaining about Martin O'Neill just because we lost yesterday and not do it when we've won - the dropped points yesterday, that would have seen us move into third is a disgrace, but you can't blame Martin O'Neill now, because of that.
If you think Martin O'Neill is doing a bad job, hasn't bought the right players or anything else - don't just start slagging him off after a result like yesterday. Sure, it makes it clear, but be consistent - slag him off all the time. Please.

I gotta tell you, I was very impressed last night all round. Guzan was fantastic, Salifou and Sidwell played extremely well together, defensively we looked very solid and up front, well, maybe the one area that needs a bit of work.

I had a beer in me last night when I called it embarrassing losing to the club that was bottom of the table and in the cold light of day, I'm not taking it back. It was embarrassing but we've got Middlesbrough, Arsenal and Manchester United coming up and I fully expect at least five points - which should be enough to ease the shame of losing to Newcastle.
Most of the paper talk is focused on the thug Joey Barton who I hope gets a six game ban for what should have been a sending off offence last night, not that he really cares about what we think or what actually happens to him.

I've not done this before but today, for a change, I thought I'd look around at what some of the papers are saying after the three points last night, mostly because it might be quite interesting to revert back to one day, if the search feature ever works on this site that is but also because, if you like it, we'll do it after every game.
