I couldn't get a price on Milner to score in ninety minutes, only for first scorer, so I put a cheeky fiver on it at 14/1. If he plays he's going to get a lot of the ball and he's going to have a crack or two, if the first one goes in it represents a £75 donation to Acorns.

The other bets today are all a bit random but I'm having money on us tomorrow because I fancy we'll do the business against red scouse and I also quite fancy that Pompey will go to Everton and win. A fiver on those two represents a potential return of £46. If that comes in, it's my beer money for next Saturday.

Quickly so I've got a record. Two £10 bets this weekend and the first one I'm calling my Premier League home bet - every team playing at home today; Liverpool, Blackburn and Reading. £10 pays 52.27.

My next bet is a bit like the banker but I've added a wild card at the end. I expect to see Manchester United and Liverpool to win and if they do I hope that we see League Two, or fourth division side, Bradford also win.

Quick and to the point this morning as I'm in a hurry and not in the mood for banter - something to do with a large quantity of beer last night.

There is no banker as nothing grabbed my attention and if I'm honest the chances of me winning today are very slim - but that's reflected in the potential returns - I'm in a funny mood this morning.

The first bet is on an Aston Villa draw, Spurs, Sunderland and Middlesbrough. A £10 bet would pay £309.38 - nice if it comes in but...

Right, I'm playing the risk game this weekend, only because we've not got that long left to the season and if the second half goes like the first half we'll be down - so I'm playing more bets, with less matches, but higher returns.

So today, it's the usual £20 but over four bets. They're listed below and I've updated the best box to the right and if there are any winnings I could come close to breaking even this weekend.

That was a rather despondent title but luck hasn't been on my side the last couple of weeks and picking my matches today has proven too easy.

If I've learnt anything this season it's that when the bets appear easy then I usually lose.

I've had three bets. The first is £10 on Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal. Paddy Power said I'd get 2/1 but I didn't, I got just under, so if it comes in I'll win £28.12. I'll chase them up on the 2/1 though, just in case....
