Rumours are flooding into The Aston Villa Blog that Villa are poised to make a ?4,000,000.00 bid for the Sheffield United player Phil Jagielka.

You knew this was coming but with headlines like 'Olly Ready To Go' and 'I Want Moore Medals' they were going to have to come in for a bit of stick. I apologise if this bores you, but for how much longer do we have to take this crap from the official web site?

As of today there are still seven weeks of the transfer window and some would say that it's only just about to get going as clubs are just getting back from holiday but not here - Aston Villa already have four new arrivals.
