4 pens in 5 games- just a blip for Ridgewell

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't giving four penalties away actually a sign of a poor defensive display?

I mean, if you're giving away penalties left, right and centre then surely it's because you aren't very good.

I've never rated Ridgewell and he gives me more reasons every game as to why he's out of his depth in the Premiership.

Despite spending many years in the West Ham Academy, famed for their quality defenders, Ridgewell has not cut the mustard at Villa.

And to be honest, if it weren't for Martin Laursen having a permanent injury then I think Ridgewell would be bench-warming.
