A confident display from Aston Villa sends Charlton home with nothing

Sunday, 24 September 06, 08:25 AM · Comments (0)

Aston Villa looked good everywhere yesterday and deserved the three points and all the praise they're getting from the press.

Villa played with composure and direction and looked like they knew what they were doing at all times.

The goals came from Gabby Agbonlahor and Luke Moore and I would have had either of them as well as McCann and Ridgewell over Gareth Barry who won the man of the match award, but he did set up the Gabby goal with a long cross.

I predicted a victory but I honestly didn't think it would be this easy; I'll even predict that Charlton could be in trouble if they don't do something very soon. I'm not sure what that has to be but maybe Curbs will want his old job back?

An all round good display from Aston Villa on the day that Randy Lerner attended his first game at Villa Park as new owner; even Doug commented that there is a new buzz around Villa Park; maybe it's the Randylution.
