Another Sunderland reject rumoured to be a target of Aston Villa

Smiler McCann, Kevin Phillips and Thomas Sorensen were all part of the Sunderland team that got relegated last time. If they all start we have over a quarter of a relegated team playing for us. Surprised we're 15th?

Well, if rumours are to be believed Villa are also interested in Julio Arca of Sunderland. Good player, maybe. Good team player, probably not. I'm all for bringing in new players but O'Leary uses bringing in new players as an excuse. Julio Arca will be relegated this year with Sunderland and to be honest they can keep him as far as I'm concerned.

I don't want over 40% of Aston Villa next season to be potentially made up of relegated players; there was a reason they were relegated in the first place and if anyone is interested in answering this next question I'd be really appreciative; when was the last time a player relegated from the Premiership has gone on to win the Premiership with another team?
