I'm thanking David O'Leary because if any of you expect us to be beating teams like Portsmouth you're deluded. This is 2006 after all.
Not a lively affair or an interesting match. Just over 30,000 turned out which should be signal enough to the Chairman that fans are staying away and it is down to O'Leary. A shot on target every 11 minutes created one goal and Villa defended well enough to keep it that way.
Villa move up one place to 14th so we should be happy because without David O'Leary we'd surely be in a worse position because our great club isn't so great and our players, many of which are full internationals or considered part of the 'best youngsters' in the country are simply not up to the job.
Nothing to say about the match. If you've seen three matches this season at Villa Park you know how this match was played. Same old boring Villa.
Sorry, but David O'Leary is destroying our club.
