Aston Villa Blog Announcement - A New Chapter Begins

Wednesday, 18 March 09, 03:47 PM · Comments (0)

To the Aston Villa fans,

As all of you are aware, the Aston Villa blog has not had any content on it for the past week. OleOle has terminated our relationship with Damian Dugdale, the original AVFC blogger.

OleOle paid Damian $60,000 last year for his blog AVFC. The deal included Damian transferring the domain to OleOle after being paid the $60,000. We paid Damian and then we all got busy and forgot about the transfer.

OleOle has in recent months been preparing for an investor road show. We have had our attorneys and financial consultants cleaning up the last two years of the company’s dealings in preparation for such a road show. At this time we realized Damian and a few others had not signed over their domains to OleOle. We asked everyone who had not transferred the domains to do so, and all but Damien proceeded to make the transfers. We have made 13 acquisitions; all but Damian have done as stipulated in their agreements.

Damian has blamed OleOle’s financial position as the reason we have asked him to turn the domain over or return the money. The reality is Damian  has not lived up to the terms of the agreement. Damian in his delusional style has tried to sell the idea that he was to turn the blog over after his contract with OleOle to write the blog had ended.

We are going to miss Damian’s writing.  In my opinion he writes one of the better blogs within the sport of football. However, we already have several Villa writers ready to step in. These guys are all very good and passionate Villa fans. They may not write in the same style that has led many of you to the Villa blog, but we recommend you give them a chance. Send us your feedback, both positive and negative. In the short term we will rotate a few of these bloggers to see how the response is. We may continue to rotate these guys if the response is good or settle on the most popular of the group.

OleOle’s goal is to become the number one social media site for Football in the world. Things like this unfortunately happen from time to time. We will do our best to bring the best content in the world to OleOle. However, like a team, we will not tolerate a player who thinks he is too important to play by the rules of the game.

As we introduce new writers on Villa, we look forward to hearing your feedback.

Best regards,

Douglas Knittle
CEO/Founder OleOle
