Aston Villa: Stuck in the 80's

Friday, 12 August 05, 11:57 AM · Comments (0)

The whole Milan Baros saga just goes to further demonstrate what a mess Aston Villa are in.

Twenty five years ago Villa were the biggest club in the land and every year since the club has become more and more of a joke and the blame for that has to rest with one person.

If reports are to be believed an improved offer of ?6.5mn. will be offered for Baros but I suspect Liverpool will happily wait it out for the ?7mn. that Villa will probably end up paying because Liverpool have also fallen for the April fools joke of 'substantial funds'.

This time next year Milan Baros will be worth considerably more to Aston Villa and I just do not understand why this has taken so long.

I believe the club have lied to us again but it doesn't surprise me. What does surprise me is that as a publicly listed company they can get away with it so easily.

We'll hopefully know by the end of the day if Milan Baros is a Villa player or not but will he be available for Bolton?
