Aston Villa takeover to complete before 2006?

Michael Neville, the man in front of the Comer Brothers has reignited talk of a takeover at Aston Villa when chatting with Jon Griffin of The Birmingham Mail. He told the paper "The deal will not be completed before Christmas but there is a possibility it could be completed by the New Year."

For many this will be seen as the best Christmas present they could have wished for and there is no doubt that Aston Villa need new blood to take the club to the next level but for others it will be seen as a sad day as Doug Ellis finally relinquishes control of 'his' club.

Let's hope good things happen if they do take control. The first thing they can do is get rid of O'Leary and if Neville is a lifelong Villa fan I'm sure that will be one of the things on his list!
