Aston Villa v Fulham: Sorry it's late

Saturday, 29 November 08, 08:58 AM · Comments (13)

End Of Match: Draw

Half Time: Half time

Before Kick Off: I'm in no position, quite literally, to talk about this game. Please, can someone start a blog post on this game so others can see what is going on?

Please ....

Before Kick Off:

Line up is:

VILLA: Friedel; L Young, Davies, Laursen, Cuellar; Sidwell, Barry, Petrov, Milner, A Young; Agbonlahor. Subs: Guzan, Knight, Harewood, Salifou, Gardner, Shorey, Delfouneso.

Before Kick Off: It's not a full house, but that was to be expected. Still, I'm not really here but I do expect a win.

Before Kick Off: Sorry. I'm late. Please forgive me.

I can't believe we never won that game. What a choker.
Typical Villa, we should have won 4 or 5 nil.
Ah well, at least we didn't lose.
That's got to have been the most frustrating game I remember for many a year.

Sorry, Damian, I'd have done it, if I'd known you weren't

well... good news is its the same problems that Pool had last week with the same result. We had more clear chances this week than the Pool last week and a missed 3rd place. Still, in the last year or two we would have lost that after the results of the last two games and we had ALL of the second half with some good football!

At least the all Blacks came out for the Grand Slam ;)
UP THE VILLA!

that shit is funny bout taglor.

very frustrating afternoon, these things happen in football... try not to get too disheartened y the result today even though everybody is bound to be pissed off.

Lets hope martin can buy some players in jan, who can put the ball into the net.

the future is bright, keep your heads up.

avfc forever......

For those that didn't get to see it, we pissed this game.
Mostly Headed chances that Carew would have buried.

Sidwell (who I honestly didn't know was playing for the first 17 mins) missed two, as did Barry.
Young was excellent, but had a bit of a row with one of his team-mates, over a cross that he felt someone should have got on the end of.

Friedel 6 Never had a lot to do
Cuellar 6 Looked better going forward than Milner
L Young 7 played well, IMO
Davies 7 solid
Laurssen 7 solid
Petrov 6 average
Barry 7 inventive and got stuck in
Sidwell 6 Decidedly poor first quarter, but got better
Milner 6 posed some threat, but never seems to beat the man
A Young 8 Everything came through him, good balls in, some poor finishing though
Gabby 7 Put himself about, worked hard

Damm, we missed Carew, he'd have buried 3 of those.

Oops, make Cuellar a 7 too, he did ok.
A game of two defences.

There is only 1 reason we didn't win yesterday. MON's negative team formation. 1 up front at home against a team that's going to defend for 90min is rubbish. Gabby was swamped by at least 4 defenders each time the ball came up to him & got pushed wide. I was waiting for him to bring the fullbacks off but na he couldn't even be arsed to do that. Sorry all chaps the Manager was 100% the reason we didn't beat Fulham.
