AVFC Blog Punt: Punting it on Spurs, Fulham and Pompey

Thursday, 16 August 07, 04:54 AM · Comments (6)

I'm doing this today as I've committed to getting steaming drunk tomorrow and probably won't be in any condition to write anything let alone find my laptop after about 1pm; so here it goes.

I'm doing it a little differently today only because there are three games on Sunday and I hate what I've had to do on my all game bet for the Saturday.

As you've probably already figured out my banker bet this weekend is Spurs, Fulham and Portsmouth. Spurs owe their supporters a result and I suspect Derby will get thumped.

Fulham will beat Middlesbrough because I've got money on Boro going down and I just can't see them travelling to London to get their first points of the season.

Portsmouth will win at home against Bolton, for exactly the same reason as Fulham beating Boro; Bolton are going down and they're not going to go to Portsmouth and get anything.

Anyway, I've done it differently because I'm having three bets this weekend. Thanks again to easyodds.com for covering all these and here they are:

My Banker Bet
Fulham (W), Spurs (W) and Portsmouth (W). A £10 bet pays £52.

My Happy Days Bet
Portsmouth (W), West Ham (D), Fulham (W), Reading (W), Spurs (W), Sunderland (W) and Newcastle (W). A £5 bet pays £1045.34.

My Gamble
Portsmouth (W), Fulham (W), Spurs (W), United (W), Arsenal (W) and Chelsea (W). A £5 bet pays £282.56.

See what I've done? I'm not happy about it but it's gambling and you've got to take that risk. I just hope I'm not let down by Spurs, Fulham or Portsmouth.

I'm superstitious that if I bet on Villa then they lose and if I bet against them they win (or sometimes draw).

I never bet on Villa to win because they've lost every single time.

;D LOL bass2001
MON knew very well what was likely to happen to MD, hence no squad number was issued. He probably knew it as soon as the club started pre-season training! What makes me laugh is that his comment makes it look as though this was a surprise and MON has been taken off guard. As soon as JLS,AH and LR were let go everyone knew at that point that we had a problem in defence. Why pretend now that its such a shock! I agree with ya mate!
NO SHIT INDEED !!! ;D
