Mathieu Berson is set to complete a permanent move to Auxerre in the coming weeks after a succesful loan spell in Le Championnat.
While Berson was given little chance at Villa, he has been given a good run in Auxerre which has resulted in a top 5 league position and calls for an international call up.
So why is he not playing with Steven Davis in the Villa midfield?
Because we have an incompetent manager who prefers to pick his favourites. In this case, Gavin McCann't.
Gavin McCann is not a Premiership footballer. He is a very good Championship footballer and I think we should sell him back to Sunderland as he's gonna come in useful for them next season.
A few of my Sunderland mates joked to me at the start of the season that we've got the backbone of the Sunderland team that got relegated with a then record low of 19 points.
Now I see as much as they were joking, they weren't wrong. No wonder we've done poorly with Sorenson, McCann't and not-so-Super-any-more Kev.
O'Leary has bought poor players and good players. Unfortunately, not that many good players and one of them is back off to France.
Hopefully we can get taken over and he'll be gone, because we won't be able to afford his ?2m pay off.
