Bish Bash Bosh: Baros, Berger, Bouma and Laursen all back in contention

The good news for Aston Villa today is that Milan Baros, Patrik Berger, Martin Laursen and Wilfred Bouma all came through the run-out against Lincoln City unscathed.

The match, which took place at Bodymoor today saw Berger play for an hour and the others for the full match. Villa won 4-2.

Two goals from Lee Hendrie might force the manager to make a difficult decision and a goal from Baros means atleast he still knows where it is; I can't wait to see him playing again under a new manager and someone that I believe will get the best out of him.

The other scorer was Sam Williams who despite getting sent off as captain in the recent reserves match is getting closer and closer to a first team outing if all reports are to be believed and with the continued success of the Academy I have no doubt we'll see him soon.

Assistant manager John Robertson told the official website "The boys coming back from injury came through OK so hopefully we will have a few more players pushing for selection which is always good news."

Mr O'Neill has certainly got a few headaches coming his way; he surely can't drop Whittingham after his performances and what about Ridgewell now that Laursen appears to be fit? As for Angel, two in three is good enough for any Premiership team, where will Baros fit in?

Bouma back would be a direct replacement for Samuel in my opinion but I think we've still got good things to come from the player despite getting injured against Reading and the speculation surrounding his future at Aston Villa.

One thing is for sure, confidence at Villa is at the highest I have seen for a number of years and the future is bright, it's claret and blue.
