Bosko Balaban on his way back to the Premiership

Friday, 17 February 06, 08:11 AM · Comments (0)

If you believe what you read in the papers you'll believe that a mid-table Premiership side is among three clubs talking to the Bruges player.

No doubt that team is Middlesbrough, Everton, Blackburn or Charlton and no doubt they'll not be talking as much as Villa paid for the player when he first came to the Premiership.

I for one wasn't happy with him not given a chance but it seems to be quite common for players not to be given a chance at Aston Villa. Bosko has done quite well since leaving Villa Park. In all club competitions since leaving he's scored a goal in every other game.

This season he's scored eleven in 25 games in all games - a goal scoring ratio that any Premiership striker would be happy with. Would be interesting to see how well he actually did if he was given a chance in the Premiership. I suspect he won't get the same return but I'm sure he'd probably score a few.
