Can you smell it? The signings are coming

I woke with loads of optimism this morning. I have a feeling deep down that we're going to see some signings this week and all of us should be fairly confident they're going to happen.
Top of the list for me is a right back and while Jose Bosingwa is our link there are others. I think it's fair to say we'll be seeing a new right back playing against Liverpool at the weekend.
Other positions on the list must be a central defender now that Liam Ridgewell has defected. Maybe a new keeper or could it be that Martin O'Neill wants to tie Sorensen down to a new deal?
Let's also not forget that they'd be no harm in a creative midfielder or a young vibrant striker. All we know is, it's coming and coming very soon.
Rest assured, I'm not turning off the radio or leaving my PC for the next 108 hours. When it happens we will get it on here as soon as we can. Who would you like to see play in claret and blue next season?

LOL Damian, this summer Iv'e been off work with a bad back and I'm damned if I'm gonna miss the signings this week after weeks of trawling the internet! I live in Dorset and whatever job Iv'e had when you say your a villa fan you always got the old ooh dear poor you boring team etc, and now people are saying oh yeah your looking really handy now and have got a great manager, I feel so happy and optimistic about being a Villa fan! I read somewhere yesterday RL has got the new Villa badge tattoed on his ankle?! Is this true? If so do you think Ellis has one on his arse?

It seems Curtis Davies and Craig Gordan are very close to signing, provided he choses the mighty Villa over the black cats.

I Think this the first time in this transfer window where i've been genuinely excited about who could be coming this week and also that the league starts on sat. i'd personaly love to see Gordon, Davies, Bosingwa or Hoyte, and Hangeland. if we could secure them i'd say top six finish hopefully this year. ;D
Ive got a mate who is a security guard at Villa and said that Curtis Davies drove into the Villa car park this a.m. like Jonesy69 said looks promising!

I was exactly the same(woke up with loads of optimsm.) First thing i did was check teletext to find that we were holding talks with Gordon. I wasnt suprised as it has been coming but i was definatly pleased. I also heard we may get Curtis Davis aswell. I havent seen loads of him only went to WBA vs Wolves in wolvo for the play offs and i think he was injured so didnt play. But Wenger wanted him and so do Spurs so he must be good and is young so would fit into our squad perfectly.
I too can sense the signings i just hope Gordon has signed by the end of the day.

If not Boswinga, the Thailand right back was amazing against Australia in the Asian championships, best player on the pitch. Have been trying to find out more info about him but the team all have similar names.
