Aston Bridgwater, a big David O'Leary fan by the looks of things, sent this in 'I respect your viewpoint however, totally disagree.
I think that O'Leary is definitely the man for Villa. I feel that we play a good brand of football that is played on the deck, is attacking and one where we press teams all over the park, therefore fitness plays a huge part.
I agree that there have been a few performances well below par however I honestly think that we have bought well and I am looking forward to the season.
Yes, tomorrow is a very big game and its unfortunate to have this pressure so early but as you are probably pointing to we need to win to ensure an average start over a very poor one.
Our real problem seem to lie in central defence with Mellberg looking shakier than past seasons and Ridgewell whilst decent cannot be expected to play 40 games, we need a top quality centre half but we all know that and O'Leary will put that right.
We will be ok though and are well capable of Europe this term in my opinion.'
Well, Aston we honestly hope you are right and we also agree that Aston Villa should qualify for Europe with the squad they have but we'll all have to wait and see how that pans out.
