Ever wanted to put down in writing your thoughts on all things Aston Villa and football in general? Well now you've got a double chance.
ESPN are looking for an Aston Villa correspondent and we're increasing our range of content, so are looking for a few more people to get involved.
If you're interested in writing for ESPN then click here and register your interest.
In terms of increasing the content on this site, we are going to start writing about football in general. Most of us watch a lot of football and while we write about Aston Villa we also have an opinion on other teams and football in general, so we are going to start adding it here from sometime, hopefully in October.
The site will still look pretty much like it does now, with the Aston Villa news and opinion on the front page and at the top, but we're going to create two or three sections at the bottom of the homepage listing the headlines of the other articles.
So, if you're interested in football and writing about it and you want to know a little bit more about how we're going to add this content and how you can get involved, then drop me a mail.

Damian, don't hide your light under a bushel!! Go for ir yourself, if not try to persuade the Doc, then we might find out who he is.
This blog really needs no improvement, but introducing a general footie page would be somewhere for the spuds (oneaaronlennon etc) to comment.
Keep up the good work.
here my scoop on villa i entered lol
Following the signing of Jose Bosingwa from Porto FC for a reported fee of £8.5m, Martin O'Neill is still looking to strengthen his squad following Villas impressive Christmas run. After taking 12 pts from 12, the Villa squad does look to be coping well, Craig Gardner and Olof Mellberg look solid in their job at right back, and Young and Gabby have been a revelation on the wings, with both now full England Internationals. So now with a recognised attacking right back, where else does MON need to strengthen?
Rumours have it, (if you believe them), that O'Neill is still looking at Jermaine Defoe, Phil Bardsley, and Andrew Surman. Now for the exception of Defoe, the other 2 would, in my opinion, be quite happy as squad players, especially with the FA cup still to come. However the point in case is Defoe, hes happy sitting on the bench in London, and watches games go by every week, but does he really have the motivation to move sticks and fight Luke, Gabby, JC, and Marlon for a starting role up front, and at the moment id say no, now you might not agree with me, but i have my reasons. Surely if he wanted out of his "lifestyle", August would have been the time to do it. And with Jol no longer being there, and Klinsmann still carrying on a dislike of him playing, there must be something major up. I personally think its a waste, unlike Bardsley and Surman, who'll happily fight for a place, i think JD lost his will to fight, months maybe even years ago. But if anyone can get it back its MON, but this could come at the cost of Luke Moore, and is Jermaine Defoe really better than Luke in the long term?? My answer is no.
To Damian...
Its your gig baby...go for it yourself!
Doc doesn't write often enough (although his articles are always very well written and informative).
What exactly does it involve ? Not trying to put my name in the pot mate, just interested. Well done for getting a company like that involved, how did you manage that one ?
Oh by the way, please keep the other football pages seperate from the AV blogs when you set it up.
I have enough trouble trying to keep up with all things AV on this ever growing site without having to traul through loads of other unrelated stuff. Mind you, good idea for those that want it and i trust that you guys will manage it in the right way as usual.
Maybe we won't have to argue over with opposing fans on our Villa forums ever again !
UP THE VILLA ;)
IL DO IT LOL
i ve applied
I put this to The Doc, and he's thinking about it. He would have to balance it with his other commitments, but he sounds interested. Would the Villa and AVFC Blog faithful be happy for The Doc to represent them on ESPN? If so, I'll try and sell it to him some more.
