Everton miss out on Nugent

Just like Europe Everton are set to miss out again. This time on Preston striker and lifelong Everton supporter David Nugent after he told the Preston North End website "Billy's (Preston manager) made it clear to me I won't be leaving in January and I'm happy with that. There are clubs interested in me but I'm a Preston player and hopefully I will be for the remainder of my contract."
I saw Nugent play once and he looked good but I'm not sure if he is Premiership standard just yet but David Moyes knows how to snap up a good bargain.
It will be interesting to see if Nugent does make the step up as he does have some fine qualities.
