Everton want pretty boy Lee Hendrie but he'd rather go to Wolves

Friday, 10 March 06, 11:37 AM · Comments (0)

Friday is two things for me, rumour day and useless news day from the Aston Villa officially boring site.

Rather than spread out all the useless stuff over the week we get it all on a Friday so I rarely look anymore but I can tell you one thing for sure; O'Leary will be bigging up Blackburn in one form or another.

To the rumours of the day. Lee Hendrie as good as said yesterday he's off in the summer and today the rumour doing the rounds is he'll be off to Everton but he'd prefer to stay in the Midlands and play for Wolves.

Moving to Wolves would open up the door for Aston Villa to talk about a swap deal for Joleon Lescott who would be a good addition to the squad for the new manager next season.

If David O'Leary has anything to do with it though rest assured he'll be going to Everton, we'll get very little for him and be short a player for next season, unless of course Aston Villa do as I'm predicting and get rid of O'Leary 'by mutual consent' some time after we get to safety or at the end of the season - then we'll probably get Joleon Lescott and Wolves will probably get Hendrie.

No more rumours today apart from the usual Baros will be off at the end of the season but I suspect the new manager will convince him to stay unless he has a great World Cup then he'll be off for sure when his value triples and if that does happen I wouldn't mind him leaving if I'm perfectly honest and only if the money goes to the new manager.

Blackburn tomorrow. Up the Villa.
