He's only 20, he plays up front and he appears to score goals and Martin O'Neill is apparently interested in him as a squad player.
He's only played once for Manchester United and according to the paper he doesn't want to go out on loan again and would rather a permanent move.
Last season he was at Hull City and scored 15 goals in 34 appearances. The season before, he scored 21 goals in 33 appearances for Royal Antwerp, again on loan.
It's quite clear he knows where the goal is and he is young, but with Carew, Gabby, Harewood and Delfouneso currently in the squad and currently in the same position, I'd quite like it if instead of buying more squad players, we were buying a proven goal scorer, but that's just me.

we need proven players in general, we have our own home grown youngsters and need some more class to take them to the next level.Robinson needs a change of club and has lost form he can regain that quality, ferdinand much the same as robbo but at 10mil way over the priced. I have full trust in oneil who ever he buys, just wish we would see some new faces soon
He's a decent player but IMO Nathan Delfouneso has lots more potential.
You're kidding me right? We're chasing a top 4 position, are supposed to have as much money as we need... and we're chasing Frazier Campbell?
How depressing.
are u kidding me the kid is absaloutley class... would definately be a hit is just as quick as gabby and overall has a better touch an vision for goal... definate hit
Vivavilla: You maintain success by having young squad players who can eventually make the leap and become a top-notch player.
I'm sorry but if Frazier Campbell was even remotely likely to become a top-notch player, Man United wouldn't be almost ignoring his existence. I'm all for having talented youngsters but come on, he wasn't that good last season.
Weve all seen what MON can do with young talent... he cant be more that £2m so the least we can do is give the kid and MON a chance to show. MON knows Villa fans expect good next season and i don't believe for 1 second he would screw us around (ironically like what he did with Barry :() MON would/will not bring new faces in just to make up the numbers, he must have lots of potential this Campbell. But i would still like to see what Delfounsio can do!
dejemba dejemba mk2 anyone?
Forget about these losers mentioned in the press. Saviola is available for around 5 million or we could use some of the funds to hijack liverpool's move for Robbie Keane. Would love to see Pavyluchenko at villa park next season.
