I've read today that Arsenal might let Freddie Ljungberg go. I'm a big fan of his and I think he's certainly a player we should go for if he does become available.
Despite his dislike for Mellberg I'm sure O'Neill could convince him he could be a key player at Villa.
This isn't a rumour, just my opinion; I believe Ljungberg could be a top player for many clubs in the Premiership and Arsenal would be silly to let him go.

We would need to get him at a very good price as he is already 30.He probably only has 2 good seasons left in him, this looks like a bit of a quick fix soloution to me
He is 30 but look at Nobby Solano. How many players stay and play well for a club longer than 2 seasons?
I think for 2 years he could help us get to a position where we can get more long-term players of his quality but 5-6 years younger.
Unfortunately we need a few 2 year quick fixes to build us up to the position of teams like Liverpool and Arsenal and eventually Man Utd and Chelsea.
I'd have him but I don't think he'll come to Villa ...
I think Lyunberg would bring experience to the team, but would he come to Villa?? I dont think i want to spend £9M on Bellamy, i want SWP, but it seems he's not interested, Bent at £15m will be too expensive for us, especially if Liverpool and Chelsea want him. I would also go for Anton Ferdinand and Reo Coker from Westham
Judging by the performance against Man Utd I don't a pauper would sign for Villa...
He ll go to Spain Id say! We need wingers though and Barry has to play in CM.
watched the game on tv today he will not help villa oneill f%cked up he should havve got you lads larssoneven short term he wuld have helped maybe put confidence in some of your players martin is losing the plot hes playing not to get beat but not giving players freedom to win tried that with celtic in europe withh mixed results
