I was so looking forward to the squad being given a little depth. As of yet 2 months later we're just 2 shy of the number we had at the end of the season.

In all fairness when the season ended no-one thought we'd be able to prize away a player who is such a huge asset to one of our key competitors. I'm as frustrated as everyone else that things aren't progressing as they should be right now (even more so if the unthinkable happens tomorrow) but the market is clearly very slow. I can see us making progress though this summer having gotten an excellent Premier League experienced goalkeeper, who will settle in no time and sort out our leaky defence. Its not really that we have poor players at the back or covering midfielders, communication was awful and so was Carson.

I'm convinced the players will come. Like the apparent "goodwill" gesture with Robbo joining Blackburn outside a swap for Bentley, i wish we would do the same with Finnan for £1.5m! Can't wait for us to get a Right Back!!

a) we're a year above schedule. Lerner didn't expect us to qualify for any kind of european comp last season.

I don't get it!!!! I just don't get it, Barry has been a Villa player for 10 years, hes had one chance (that we know of) to leave before and he didn't take it cos it would have been a bit of a sideways step. i am a MON fan.. think he is one of the best COACH'S around.. he has a fantastic reputation in england/scotland for delivering results which he has done once again at the villa since he came here 2yrs ago. But one thing that i just dont get is his transfer dealings lets have a look at his signings

this proves he is not good at atracting top class players to our club. with the exception of young and possibly carew. all he signs is championship level players. Harry Renknapp at pompy has a small club in the middle of nowhere but yet he beats us to defoe, crouch, diarra, kaboul. and also attracts some of europes quality unkown talent. i.e krnkjar, mutari, etc..

Think wat we need is a sporting director and a few specialist eurpean scouts we need to by pas MON's decison making fill the squad with quality players and let MON manage them hich he is clearly good at.

the last thing we need is MON spending 30-40 million on lots of championship players which is all he has done so far..

The point is, after how we played last year, players being forced to play injured or out of position etc, MON owes the players some support and back up. We shouldnt be heading into the second leg with less players than we had last year. We should not be nervous at all about this match. Odense our hardly a big club but MON (and Randy)have lessened the gap between us and Odense by simply pottering around this transfer window and achieving fuck all. We are supposed to be selling our club as a place that players want to come in and be a part of it all, including our current players too. It doesnt look good to us supporters (although we keep turning up to VP week in and week out) and it certainly doesnt look good to potential transfer targets. This is beyond a joke now.Get your act together the lot of you!

Pete2222...I too signed up to AVTV in the hope that they would show the Lincoln game live but all we got was that Jack bloke's commentary from what seemed to be a radio station (VillaFM?). Surely we must be able to pick this up on a standard radio set anyway and not have to pay AVTV ? (I haven't got a dab radio so can't check this and isn't AVTV supposed to mean TV anyway and not radio ?!!)
Since that night, I haven't been able to even log onto the site with it saying there is an error everytime i try. I've contacted their support by e-mail over a week ago and still no reply. I've also just read above that they haven't even got Odense highlights on there (again , i can't check this...wonder why ? oh yeah...they won't let me log in !)
