The Daily Express this morning are suggesting that Martin O'Neill will be willing to pay £5mn. for Hull keeper Boaz Myhill.
Now, I'm not saying he's not good enough because I've not seen him play in a long time and for those that don't know this, Myhill used to be an Aston Villa player.
I'm fairly sure it was David O'Leary who sold him to Hull, in fact I'm not sure after having a little look about in our archive.
But to Myhill; back in October 2006 there were rumours that Martin O'Neill would be bringing him back for £1.5mn., and now it's £5mn. I guess if he waits much longer he could be paying a lot more so why not do it now.

Been following Hull for a while and I hope this is more than a rumour, he is deffinate quality.
fairly young fairly english
o'leary did sell him, to hull for 50k in 2003, hes been an ever present for hull for the past few seasons helping them to 2 succesive promotions. is elligible to play for usa, wales and england. full name - glyn oliver myhill.
Should never have sold him, he was always going to be a top keeper. Bloody O'Leary again!

F@#k keepers we havnt had a bloody right back all year! Taylor and Guzan are enough now lets buy some first team players for F@$k sakes...............
Hopefully we will buy him, I hope we dont buy shitty carson, and we want 1st team goalkeepers!!
Posted this on the bullard blog but i know people read the latest one
its got nothing to do with waiting another year or 2. we wont attract world class players because we refuse to pay the wages for them. its as simple as that!!! I know boro are cr*p but why do u think they have had every now and again a world class player play for them - not cause they are in europe - because they pay the wages. Man city, pompey, spurs will be in for a number of world class players over the summer. they wont get all of them but i bet they get 1 or 2 because they will pay the wages and they are making there intent known by being in for these players. we wont do that and dont have the money to do so despite what we are led to believe
Posted this today on the "We're 7Th in the League etc" blog.
I've just read that most people only read the current blog so here again is my offering on the 7th heaven.
As already been said we would all like AV to be in the top four and for it to happen immediately.
MON has again managed to bring out the best of a set of average Premier players however to push on he must spend.
I have to still believe that RL will dip into his pocket and we will land some quality players.
I go back to when MON first joined AV. Ellis was in charge. Now, it is a common held belief/fact that MON joined on the understanding that Ellis was out of the door and RL was in.
Also I have to believe that MON joined because that there would be substantial transfer funds available. With MON having the authority and responsibility as to when and where these funds will be spent.
If substantial funds are not spent this Summer we could well be looking at a new manager.
Why?
1. MON is a winner and there is no way he would have joined AV unless substantial funds were promised.
2. I can understand why quality money has not been spent to date and positive arguments that I agree with have been made on this site.
3. I have been able to see the development of the Team over the last 2 seasons however MON must know that even with all his powers of motivation he cannot move any higher up the league with this quality of football.
3. No funds spent means to me that RL has made broken promises to MON.
4. Therefore MON will be off.
5. If MON stays and and no funds spent it means to me that we have all been conned by both RL & MON.
6. The AV Season Ticket holders and next season's attendances will talk with their feet.
Wayne Hennessy looks like a good 'keeper too, but he's Welsh, but who cares? lol
Correct me if I'm wrong but hasn't Myhill been capped by Wales recently. Also Mr Dizzy Mugs, whats wrong with being Welsh - boyo!!!!!
As in 'not in keeping with the whole Young and English' system.
This will happen with Carson we can get him now for 7.5 million but we'll send him backand we'll end up getting him for 20 million in 4 years time.
Boaz looks very good now he is another we should have kept and brought through the ranks
On current form i do think id pick boaz over carson anyday
The question is can he handle the prem? ?
carson would still be a brilliant keeper if it wernt for steve maclaren. so i blame villas current bad run on steve maclaren becuase it was carson mistakes that cost us against portsmouth and sunderland and we would be 5th (i think) if we had won those. so if we dont get into europe it will be maclarens fault and not carsons. carson shouldnt have played in that match against croatia and if he didnt he would have full confidence and wouldnt have made mistakes.
so why is oneil playing him then SAM? If thats what you can work out surely MON should as well and drop him for Taylor. Its oneils fault for playing a player short on confidence and out of form
aaa ssss
because o'neil knows he is a good keeper and the only way for to gain confidence is by playing games ANDIKAN!
