Gillingham or Stockport in the Cup

The good news first, we haven't drawn Manchester United. We haven't got any bad news, so the other news is that we've drawn either Gillingham or Stockport County.

It's not opposition that should cause us too many problems, but then again we've done poorly against 'inferior' teams in recent weeks. Gillingham away would certainly please the London-based Villa fans and Stockport is only 75 miles from Villa Park.

I'm not sure when the replay is, but I imagine it will be a week on Tuesday at Stockport's Edgerley Park. Whenever it is we'll let you know the outcome.

I think there were only 3 or maybe 4 all Premiership ties which means we have less chance of avoiding a big team if we get through to the 4th round.

The 3rd round match will be played on the weekend of the 3rd of January.

Just missed Cov and Kiddy Harriers - gutted, but also pleased it's not Man Utd again!
