Goalkeeping coach Steele to take charge of 1st team

Thursday, 03 August 06, 10:07 PM · Comments (0)

Former Manchester City goalie and current Villa goalkeeping coach Eric Steele will take over first team affairs until a manager is appointed (unless it's Roy Aitken), after Aitken was forced to take further time off to recover from his recent operation.

It will be a good test of Steele's coaching abilities, as it's been rumoured he is very good at his current role.

I'd be interested to see how he does and it's probably more relief for the team who've probably had enough of O'Leary and Aitken by now.
