He said "There is a genuine bunch of fans and then there is a fickle mob that get on your back very quickly.
I'd like to point out to David O'Leary that this is the start of his third season and we've got 6 points from 6 games in the premiership and to be 3-1 down at half time is a good enough reason to boo the players.
3-1 down at half time to Wycombe is good enough to be throwing eggs at the players. He should count himself lucky it wasn't worse.
He went on to say "You have to let it go right over your head. Fans want you out one minute and to get a new contract the next."
If as you say you should let it go over your head Mr O'Leary, then let it. Don't come out and start criticising the people that pay your wages.
As supporters we have a right to criticise. Your job is to get the team winning matches. You don't seem to be very good at that so expect criticism.
As for the fans one minute wanting you out and the next wanting you to sign a new contract, I think if you asked now most would want you out - I wouldn't bring that up if I were you.
Now is the time you should be trying to get the supporters onside, so shut up and do your job, or sooner than you think you might see the supporters turning on you with good reason.
