Is Premiership survival a factor in the great Aston Villa sale?

I just scan O'Leary quotes these days because you've normally heard them all before but today he said something new which could have a factor on the great sale of Aston Villa.

Talking to the official web site today he said "It is up to me to get us safe and then you never know what decisions might be made at the club or we all might know what is happening."

Does this mean he knows something we don't? Does it mean that the potential new owners have said, survive and we'll complete? We don't know and we're not going to speculate any further just thought it would be interesting as they hid this part at the bottom of an article.
