David O'Leary on the other hand hasn't noticed any of this and said "Lee has had to wait. He hasn't moaned. He's got on with it and I'm delighted for him."
Hendrie has gone so far as to state the bloody obvious to the manager by saying "Results have not been going for us but I still can't get in the team."
What will it take for Hendrie to get a game? For me he was better than McCann on Saturday and I'd play him in the middle with Davis or Bakke and I hate saying this I don't want to see him leave Villa Park either.
At least with Hendrie you know you're going to get 110% whenever he plays and I'm not sure of that with Smiler McCann or Eirik Bakke.
For all the issues that surround the tango man he is Aston Villa and seeing him leave will just further hurt the club in the long run - every club needs players like him.
Why can't David O'Leary see this? It's almost as if he switches off during matches and doesn't see what happens until he puts in a tape from another match when watching it with his hot chocolate and a Werthers - then gets it all wrong.
David O'Leary, for all his bleating this week hasn't said much about Hendrie and Barry which I thought he would after the Newcastle game. You can't get it right all of the time but he does have a few days of the week left. I suspect Hendrie will be off and I suspect so will O'Leary.
