JLloyd to play for Trinidad & Tobago

Monday, 31 October 05, 02:40 PM · Comments (0)

As initially posted by us a couple of weeks ago it looks as if JLloyd Samuel is going to get the chance to play in the World Cup next year if Trinidad and Tobago qualify through the play-off's later this month.

Samuel is about to switch allegiance after been capped by England at U21 level but never getting a cap at full international level.

Aston Villa appear however to be playing hard ball though and it doesn't look like they are allowing Samuel the opportunity to meet up with Trinidad & Tobago.

Jack Warner, the man behind the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association says "Once the coach says he wants him, then he will have him and the coach says he wants him. Aston Villa tell us he is not available. Who is Aston Villa? They say he is not qualified. Who is Aston Villa? Give me a break."

Nobody can blame JLloyd for wanting a chance to play in the World Cup. We'll keep you updated with what happens but our message to JLloyd is 'go for it'.
