Joke of the week, maybe month: Emile Heskey for ?5mn

I still smile when I think about it; Birmingham City are relegated. For the two seasons they were up they gave it so large and look at them now; back where they belong.

Well today, I've read a rumour about 'super striker' Emile Heskey in the Daily Express. Apparently anyone interested in the striker will have to stump up ?5mn. Personally I wouldn't pay him a lady to clean my shoes. He scored a goal every five games for Blues and basically did us a favour.

The reason Blues have put ?5mn on his head is they simply need to off load so don't be surprised if he goes for ?2mn come the start of the season, but I still think that's quite a lot to pay for him.

Anyway, it's Friday and the World Cup starts today. Come on England.
