Lee Hendrie, meet sinking ship

Whatever is said between the manager and him should remain private and he shouldn't be coming out and talking to the press about possible loan moves if he isn't playing.

If Hendrie has this master plan that he needs to play football to stand a chance of getting in the England squad for the World Cup finals next year he should think again. He isn't going to and he doesn't stand a chance. Doug Ellis has more chance of playing for England in Germany next year than pretty boy Lee Hendrie.

It is his job to make sure he is on top of his game and ready to play when called upon by the manager.

There should be a ban on all players speaking to the press or everything should go through the Aston Villa PR machine before it is released. These stupid comments by the players do nothing for morale and certainly do not make us feel anything but more anger towards the player in question.

Lee Hendrie is an Aston Villa player and he can say whatever he likes from his glass house but one thing he should not be saying is he may have to go elsewhere to ply his trade if he can't get a game.

Many will know I'm not his biggest fan but I actually like his football most of the time and he clearly loves Aston Villa, which makes this recent outburst all the more strange.

For the few minutes we saw him against Liverpool I thought he was one of the better players. He passed well and created space. Just because the others didn't see what he was doing isn't his problem but more of one for the manager because he's clearly not working on basic footballing concepts in training.

When a ship is sinking the rats are the first to jump ship. Can Lee Hendrie really be classed as a rat?
