Luke Moore wants to stay an Aston Villa player. Martin O'Neill has told us next week he will be speaking with Olof Mellberg and Luke Moore and it looks like he'll be talking contracts.
He'll also be talking to Thomas Sorensen; I suspect that will be more about helping him find a club before the end of the transfer window.
We're also expecting a right back in next week. We're hoping for Jose Bosingwa but there is an alternative so expect that position filled for next Saturday an Fulham.
Back to the force. I posted my views on the whole thing earlier this week and said the only thing we couldn't ask for was Luke coming out and telling us what he wanted. Well, he has.
I'm a Villa boy now, I've been here since I was eight years old, so I don't need to say where I want to be really. There have been a few clubs I've been linked with but that's out of my hands. All I know is that the manager's trying to sort out a new contract which for me means I'm in his future plans. Ideally, I'll be staying here, that's probably the case if the boss says he wants me to stay then that's good enough for me. Like most young players here, we've been getting some confidence from what the manager's been saying. I've got a year left, but it's not a problem at the moment. I'm relaxed about it.

Now all we need is the club to come out and say there have been no offers, that they wouldn't accept any even if they did come in and that they'll be doing everything they can to keep Luke Moore at the club.

read it correctly mon said last week no one out more to come in!
he will be holding contract talks with ollie, luke and sorensen i belive he wanted all to stay till tommys outburst this week, ollie will stay as will luke moore but tommy will be packing his bags for unsteadying mon's ship he does not want players who open their mouth and through toys out pram hes the last bit of deadwood to get rid of! (marlon deadwood 2 lol) we will be ok this season just few more bodies on bench to cover injuries. also think carew needs to be rested 4 next game bring him on for last 15 to cause some problems etc...
i did read it correctly
the manager said nothing. in fact earlier in the week he said:
"I would like to have those done and I think that the players would like to know by transfer-deadline day as well. So I'll make decisions on all of them."
he's not committed to all of them staying. in fact i wouldn't be surprised to see sorensen go
I hope Sorenson goes!
no i meant read into mon's words he has a habbit of saying things without saying them hes just saying hes confident they will re-sign without saying he's confident, leaving his plans open to media in case something goes wrong during negotiations etc.. and they all end up leaving he likes to throw people curve balls with his thinking so people cannot tell what his plans are, which is what most of us fans are miffed at cause we use the media to get information about our club mon uses the media to keep stuff to him self so nobody can tell what his plans are etc...
GET ANGEL BACK FOR CHRISTMAS! DURING MLS BREAK, ANOTHER TWO AGAINST THE GALAXY. 14 IN 15 NOW. COULD DO A LARSSON TYPE JOB FOR US FOR A WHILE.
I don't think O'Neill doubts Luke Moore's ability, just his attitude. I say this only because some people think JPA's attitude and work rate were first class whereas to me it looked like he couldn't give a toss once he got his 45K a week contract. It's all about opinions, but it's only MON's that will count on whether Luke Moore is offered a new contract.
We need to see two changes for Fulham, Maloney in for Petrov (who was gash again yesterday!) and Moore in for Ag-mong-lahor, flat 442 with Maloney attacking and hitting the edge of the box when crosses come in to belt in any spillages with NRC holding! Someone please tell me why MON is keeping petrov in the team?
Adding to that if Moore or Carew do nothing by half time - and I know this souinds bad - but i'd give Harewood a chance! As I would have yesterday!
At Woodinho - I agree. Moore for Gabby and Maloney for Petrov, 4-4-2. And, if a new right-back comes along, get him in too.
I'm still in support of Petrov and I'm desperate for MO'N to get the best out of him. I'd like to see us go 4-1-2-1-2 (the diamond)against Fulham with Petrov playing behing Carew and Moore and Gardner moving into the midfield if new RB is already in. It might not work that well but you never know I just want Petrov to prove everyone wrong as he's a great player also Moore deserves his chance, after all he was our best player at the start of last season.
how can MON say all summer he will not be in the same position this year as he was last november with not enough fit players!!! he has sold 10 players got in 3 and plans 2 or 3 more well to me that still leaves a short fall of 4 players short of last year. the best signing villa could make is a director of football to work in the transfer market for MON. he might be good but he aint that good. we need defenders and a top class striker, that would bring the young lads on leaps and bounds!!!
does anybody have an update on Bosingwa, Davies, Hangeland or Hoyte???
can anyone remind me of the scoring system in the fantasy league please? or where on the squadgod website the points system is? cheers bass
