Match prediction: Birmingham City

Birmingham City are going down

This game is so important that if Birmingham lose I suspect they'll be relegated and if we win it I don't think there is any chance we'll be pulled into the fight; I can't wait.

It's not confirmed I don't think but Lee Hendrie is going to miss the match after a horror tackle from Paul Robinson last Sunday and he's one of the players I would have really liked to have seen play in this match.

Hendrie isn't the best looking lad in the World but with his cash and confidence he gets his 'fair share' and for that he can't be knocked. To be fair to the player he can't be knocked when he's played this season either which can't be said of all players. Hendrie will play his heart out for Aston Villa, not David O'Leary.

Smiler McCann will probably start. I'm sure, just like O'Leary, McCann is a really nice bloke in the pub but I think he's one of the reasons why Villa have failed to kick on this season. He's on the ground too much, gives away silly balls and free kicks and can't see a pass on a replay. Hendrie in the middle of the park would have had more effect as would Berson, Djemba Djemba, Barry, Gardener and Davis. Just my opinion.

Barry, Mellberg and Milner may all be back but nothing is confirmed. We now know Delaney is out for the season which will mean Hughes playing at right back and either Ridgewell or Cahill partnering Mellberg and Bouma on the left.

Up front we'll probably see Luke Moore and Milan Baros. If there was one player that I think will do well for us on Sunday it would be Moore. He really does know how important this match is and I'm sure he'd put in 110%. If I were O'Leary I'd start with Phillips and Moore and try to recreate the effect the two had at Middlesbrough but Baros is fit and he's a favourite of O'Leary.

Midfield is probably the easiest to predict for Sunday. Milner, Barry, Smiler and Davis. Don't expect anything different if all are fit.

Birmingham City lost the plot when they sold Lilly Savage. I don't care who is fit or not but if there is one player we need to look out for it would be Jiri Jarosik. Great player with strength, control and vision.

David O'Leary has lost the dressing room and more matches as Aston Villa manager than he's won and that stat can't change this weekend. My head says we'll draw this one but I can't go with my head when it comes to Blues. I'm going for three points and a right stuffing, 3-1 Villa and a great Sunday night.
