Match Prediction: Burnley

Sunday, 23 October 05, 02:03 PM · Comments (0)

This time last year I said we'd beat Burnley and I was wrong but we were playing away and in front of only 11,000 supporters.

Next Tuesday will be different as it's at Villa Park - the attendance might not be that much more but surely Villa will want to get a little further in this tournament this season.

Burnley are currently 16th in the Coca Cola Championship after 15 games. They have only won twice away from home this season and have conceded twice as many as they have scored while away.

You can never be certain when playing teams from lower divisions as this is more often than not the biggest game of the season for them and when you have David O'Leary as manager you have to have some concerns about how your team is going to play.

If I had to place a bet I'd say this should be a home win but I have a sneaky feeling Burnley could surprise a few and maybe get the result or atleast force the replay.

It will certainly be interesting to see what happens.
